Custom Actions
The ThingTech platform is designed to allow for the remediation of exceptions. Often, workflows are unique for each organization and require a Custom Action. Therefore, ThingTech supports a concept of custom, configured workflow for orchestrating pre-defined actions.
Actions present themselves in the User Interface from the ellipse Button on the Action bar in Visualization and the ‘Actions’ button on the Thing Detail Record View.
An Action can result in any of the following:
● Prompt user to update a Record
● Prompt user to create a new Related Record
● Send an IoT command to a Device to control a Thing
● Send an API Post / Request to a 3rd Party System
Note: Custom Action must be configured by a ThingTech Administrator or ThingTech Support.
