Things can be mapped within Visualization component

Things can be assigned a device for RealTime monitoring of location, status, and other attributes

Things can be categorized by Type, uniquely named, and extended for custom data attributes

ThingTech defines a standard set of Things with standard attributes for quick and easy deployment for common Things such as Vehicles, Trailers, Employees, Accounts, and Orders. However, custom Things may be created with completely custom attributes or standard Things may be extended with custom data attributes based on your unique needs by use of the ThingTech platform.

Overview of Things Tab

Navigate to Things tab (icon with 3 horizontal lines)

In the resulting window, displayed below, note the following ‘Things’ sub-categories listed in the left side panel. This list may be different in your ThingTech instance depending of the unique configuration for your business.  

Within each of these sub-portals, a user (depending on User Role) has the ability to perform various functions relating to your Things:

  • Each field has a filter box, begin typing here to filter Thing list by desired field.

  • The eye icon at the top right of the data grid will allow the user to show and hide desired fields.

  • The user can also, click on the green hyperlinked name of Thing to view the detail record.

Creating a new Thing

Enter appropriate information. Any required fields will be indicated with a red outline and asterisk. The system will prevent saving if the field is left blank.

Editing Things

In order to edit Thing Record, click on the hyperlinked name of the Thing to be edited.

The detail record screen will open.Select ‘Edit’

From here, the user can edit the information presented as desired.When finished, select ‘Save’ at the top right corner.
